Along with celebrating and raising awareness for Food Day this year, a few of the officers also decided to do a mini fundraiser for the Nutrition Student Network (NSN). We used half of our budget towards buying registration to attend FNCE for interested juniors and seniors in the DPD, so we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to raise money for future NSN events and activities. We took a cooking class two semesters ago, so baking some goodies to sell was a perfect way to make moolah! Thankfully one of our Co-Presidents, Savannah, worked in a cupcake shop for years. It was definitely reassuring!
I had so much fun baking with the other officers! I’m so glad we took the time and effort to pull this thing together! Super grateful to everyone who donated ingredients from their kitchen as well.
Uncooked batches of the pumpkin pie muffins. The two right ones are topped with the pumpkin filling.
All wrapped up thanks to NSN Co-President, Shelby. She got a bunch of adorable packaging materials from the craft store.
Chocolate Swirled Pumpkin Zucchini Bread – This thing smelled so amazingly delicious!!!
